The oldest of the ape genusPrimates can be traced back to the Paleocene 65 million years ago. This kind of animal is not so much like a monkey, but more like a squirrel. It is a timid mammal that loves to scurry around on the ground and feeds exclusively on insects.
The eyes of the ape are facing forward, both on the same plane. The forelimbs are similar to human hands, they can grasp objects, they are very good at climbing, and they mostly move on trees in the forest. Some species have no tail and are the animals closest to humans, such as Gibbon, orangutan and so on. Apes have a well-developed brain, strong learning ability, and are good at imitating. Apes generally live in groups, and some groups have leaders. Apes are mostly omnivorous, eating wild fruits and vegetables, and some species also eat insects or other small animals.
